Montana Department of Public Health and Human Services (DPHSS) recently updated their policy for spas located at short-term rentals.
Instead of requiring spas to be drained and cleaned in between guests, spas can simply be cleaned. According to the Montana DPHHS, this cleaning should include:
• Clean, sanitize, and rinse hot tub filters.
• Maintain appropriate hot tub chemistry levels (e.g., chlorine, bromine, pH, etc.) consistent with the hot tub manufacturer guidelines.
• Display and maintain documentation of cleaning and maintenance performed.
